It runs in the family

You’ve probably heard the phrase, “It runs in the family.” As it turns out, quite a bit runs in my family. And it pushed me off balance.

Driven by a desire for self-care, I began writing experiential psychology books with a clear and constructive framework. Below, you can learn why I do this and how it could benefit you.

It runs in my family

You’ve probably heard the phrase, ‘It runs in the family’. Well, as it turns out, quite a lot runs in my family. And it pushed me off balance. Driven by a desire for self-care, I began writing experiential psychology books and developing online training courses. I now experience deep inner peace and balance in my everyday work and life.

The one-size-fits-all approach of standard (mental) health care and alternative therapies did not meet my needs. Through self-care, I started developing more effective tools and methods to achieve well-being and quality in mental health, leadership, and change processes. After over a decade of experimentation and testing, the results are precise: sustainable change is indeed achievable.

How? The psychology books and guidance that I provide prioritize people, enabling experiential learning with layered depth, making them better suited to integrate into your daily work and life.

Over 24 current and upcoming titles

In the coming years, I will write and publish more than 24 psychology books in Dutch and English! You can request the book overview without obligation. I’d love to keep you informed through my newsletter. If you’re interested, of course.

Each book guides you through an inner journey toward sustainable recovery, change, growth, and leadership. In a way that nourishes your head, invites you to get to know your feelings better, and inspires action. With a layered build-up and clear framework, experience stories, reflection questions, and tips, all the books offer self-paced guidance toward lasting constructive change.

It takes its toll on me

No pain, no gain is another common phrase. If I’m honest with you, there are moments when it’s quite exhausting to let all these topics flow through me. It takes a lot of energy, time, and attention. And it hurts. But it’s OK. I needed to learn how to deal constructively with emotions, pain, and tensions anyway. The good news is that I’m getting quite the hang of it. So now, not only me but you and others can also benefit from it. A win-win-win!

But there’s another downside to this project. Did you know that publishing costs 5 to 10 thousand euros per book? A marketing budget would add another couple of thousands. Plus, in a normal world, I would need to receive compensation for the thousands of hours I have spent on it. It is work, after all, and not a hobby. Note to self: let’s keep that in mind…

Last but not least, I have frequently been asked if I wanted to provide free lectures or free books. The answer to this is no. Sustainable recovery, growth, change, and leadership also mean that all costs that lead to a high-quality product or service are included in the final price. Working and doing business sustainably means taking responsibility for what it costs to achieve well-being and a high-quality product in work and life. For many people, this is a challenge. But I hope to set the example.

Implementing what is needed in a credible way

Learning to constructively address the imbalance that has been passed down through generations is the best thing I have ever done. It changed my view and attitude toward life and set an inner recovery process in motion. Step by step, I learned to build a safe, healthy, and nurturing relationship with myself, my family, and my work. Naturally, this led to a win-win-win situation for everyone.

By lovingly enveloping my sensitivities and taking care of them, I lose nothing. I only win. And so do those around me. It makes a huge difference. I come into my own and can be optimally at the service of others. This journey has been going on for over a decade, and I can’t wait to share the fruits with you.

Achieving lasting constructive change in the family

You, too, can realize win-win-win situations for everyone in your (work) family. By learning to take constructive care of what lives inside you, closer to your inner home, you can become a balanced leader who realizes lasting constructive change. Personally and professionally, you reap the benefits of this. Life becomes more layered, lighter, and more fun.

I like to use my personal and professional knowledge and experiences to benefit you and others. That is why I provide custom training. The basis is always that I teach you how to realize lasting constructive change yourself, considering your background, qualities, and sensitivities. I also help you maintain your humanness closer to home.

I would love to teach you how to do this. Of course, I would happily add your current needs and challenges to this basis. So that you can feel heard and seen at the core. And really move forward in your development.
