Jazeker! Wanneer je in de diepte tevreden bent met wie je bent en wat je doet, heb je minder last van de spanningen die er in je dagelijks leven aan de oppervlakte zijn. Het is daarom zeker de moeite waard om in de diepte voor jezelf te zorgen. Niet alleen met spullen, maar vooral ook emotioneel en mentaal. Aansluiten bij jouw basisbehoeften en gevoelsmatige tekorten, helpt om minder stress en meer voldoening en balans te ervaren. Het is een goed begin in het voorkomen van stress en burn-out.<\/p>\n<p>Maar hoe zit het nou met die stress en burn-out factoren? Stress is van nature niet slecht. Het hoort bij je dagelijks leven. Wanneer je gedurende langere tijd onder hoge druk staat en moeite hebt om te ontspannen, is het echter wel nodig om op te passen. Langdurige stress en hoge druk kunnen op termijn ertoe leiden dat je opgebrand raakt. Vaak is er naast langdurige stress en hoge druk een mengeling van <strong>interne<\/strong> en <strong>externe<\/strong> factoren aanwezig, <strong>persoonlijk<\/strong> en\/of <strong>professioneel<\/strong>. De spanningen die deze factoren veroorzaken, kunnen uiteindelijk leiden tot een opbouw naar burn-out. De druk die je jezelf oplegt (bijvoorbeeld uit faalangst, een laag zelfbeeld of perfectionisme) is zo&#8217;n interne factor. Net als jouw manier van met dingen omgaan (patronen in denken, voelen en doen; persoonlijkheid). Een ander voorbeeld is hoogsensitiviteit. <strong>Hoogsensitiviteit<\/strong> kan je gevoeliger maken voor stress. Doordat hoogbegaafde mensen sneller denken kunnen ze meer behoefte hebben aan diepgang en complexe uitdagingen. De maatschappij is daar echter niet op ingericht. Zoeken naar manieren om deze behoefte toch te kunnen vervullen, kan stress geven. Hoogbegaafde mensen zijn vaak ook meer zijns georienteerd dan gemiddeld. Dit kan zich onder meer uiten in een sterker ontwikkeld rechtvaardigheidsgevoel. Dergelijke persoonlijke interne factoren werken vaak door in de manier en houding van waaruit je jouw werk doet. Het zijn gebeurtenissen waar je niet of nauwelijks invloed op kunt uitoefenen en die spanningen kunnen geven. Persoonlijke externe stress factoren kunnen maken dat je (tijdelijk) emotioneel en mentaal meer onder druk staat. Je kunt hierdoor (tijdelijk) minder draagkracht ervaren. Je systeem heeft tijd en aandacht nodig om te kunnen herstellen van de gebeurtenissen.<\/p>\n<p>Voorbeelden van <strong>werkgerelateerde externe stress factoren<\/strong> zijn bezuinigingen of een reorganisatie. Wanneer je leidinggevende druk op je uitoefent, kan dat stress geven. Net als een fysiek en\/of emotioneel onveilige werkomgeving. Ook gepest worden, discriminatie, boven je niveau werken (overvraagd worden) of onder je niveau werken (ondervraagd worden) kunnen veel stress opleveren. Opgebrand raken door gedurende langere tijd onder je niveau te werken, wordt ook wel <strong>bore-out<\/strong> genoemd. Het aanpassen aan een werkniveau waarin jij niet of onvoldoende je ei kwijt kan, kan dusdanig veel stress opleveren dat het je van binnenuit sloopt. Een bore-out is net zo schadelijk voor je gezondheid als een burn-out.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Al deze factoren worden externe stress factoren genoemd, omdat je er niet rechtstreeks invloed op uit kunt oefenen. En dat vinden we vaak lastig. Daarom geeft het stress. Of juist onder je eigen werk- en denkniveau? Pas dan op.
